As an agriculture company we depend on farmers, they’re our customers and the heart of our industry. When farmers told us that they felt they were being misrepresented in the media and that the gap between farmer and consumer was growing too large we jumped at the chance to champion the work of the American farm family – that’s where the America’s Farmers campaign comes in.
Our America’s Farmers campaign features real farm families doing what they do every day – growing not only our food, but also our economy and our quality of life here in America. We're all connected to agriculture and it’s time we, as a nation, learn more about the industry that provides for us every day.
The campaign is a part of a long-term advocacy program celebrating U.S. farmers through communications, awards and special program. Through our programs we hope to educate help consumers about modern agriculture, grow rural communities and schools, and celebrate women in agriculture. Check out a few of our programs below:
- Grow Rural Education
America's Farmers Grow Rural EducationSM , sponsored by the Monsanto Fun, was created to help farmers positively impact their communities and support local school districts. America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education offers farmers the opportunity to nominate rural public school districts to compete for a grant of up to $25,000.

- Grow Communities
America’s Farmers Grow CommunitiesSM, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, helps support local farming communities. The program, which launched in 2010, allows farmers to enter to win a $2,500 donation for their favorite community nonprofit organization, such as 4-H, FFA, schools, fire departments and other civic groups.

- Farm Mom of the Year
The Farm Mom of the Year program recognizes women in agriculture and their often overlooked efforts as part of the family farm. This annual contest allows anyone to nominate an amazing farm mom through a 300 word essay and give that farm mom a chance to win up to $10,000.
