Applications available for Monsanto Hawaii Science Education Fund

(January 14, 2008) - Applications are now available for the Monsanto Hawaii Science Education Fund, established by the Monsanto Fund to promote science education in Hawaii public schools.

The grant program is open to public schools, colleges and related organizations serving students at the intermediate, high school and college grade levels on the islands of Maui, Molokai, Oahu, and Kauai, where Monsanto employees live and work. The Fund is intended to help schools and teachers procure educational science-related programs, tools, supplies and equipment; and to encourage students who may be interested in a future career in the sciences.

Monsanto Hawaii Science Education Fund grants must be used for student education purposes in the sciences, such as to purchase equipment, tools, educational and resource materials, supplies and programs that foster educational excellence. The minimum grant request is $500; maximum is $1,000.
