The Agricultural Proficiency Award program recognizes FFA members who excel as agricultural entrepreneurs, employees or volunteers while they gain hands-on career experience. Competition for the awards is organized into 49 categories, including the Dairy Production - Placement Proficiency award. In this category, participants are evaluated based on using the best available management practices to efficiently produce and market dairy cattle and dairy products. Successful competitors progress through competition beginning at the local chapter level and proceed through to the state, regional and national levels.
