Monsanto Fund

Over the last three years (2005 - 2007), the Monsanto Fund, the philanthropic arm of the Monsanto Company, has contributed over $5.1M for science education grants. During that same time period, Monsanto employees have contributed over $1.2M to nonprofits in the area of education. These donations have been matched by the Monsanto Fund Matching Gifts Program.

MySci: An Innovative Monsanto Fund Project

MySci is a $3.9M (three year) science education project launched in late 2005. MySci is a mobile science outreach program for students in grades K - 2 and their teachers. It gives early elementary students throughout the St. Louis area the chance to study science through inquiry. It provides a multi-day visit to schools from one of the newly designed Investigation Stations, roving vehicles of innovative exhibits and specimens that make learning through climbing, crawling, seeing, hearing and smelling more exciting than ever. It provides curriculum books and classroom kits on plants, animals and the earth. MySci's mission is to enhance a sense of wonder and interest in science for K-2 students and their teachers.
