"Monsanto is committed to a working environment that is free of harassment, based on legally protected characteristics. Any type of violence or threat of violence in the workplace will not be tolerated."
Monsanto does not tolerate any form of harassment, as defined by law, or any violence against our employees or those of our business partners. We will work hard to prevent harassment and violence in the workplace by educating employees about what to do if they encounter a harassing or harmful work situation.
One form of harassment in the workplace is sexual harassment – a situation in
which an employee makes comments or conducts him or herself in a manner which
is reasonably understood by another employee to be threatening or demeaning.
Harassment complaints may also be based on threats to other legally protected
characteristics such as race, nationality, or religion.
For years, Monsanto has had a zero-tolerance policy for unlawful harassment as
well as for all forms of violence in the workplace. We will continue to enforce this
policy, as well as the specific Harassment Policies articulated in our employment
policies and procedures.
