High Extractable Corn | I-85 Program
Dry mill ethanol plants now want High Fermentable Corn (HFC) to obtain the highest possible ethanol yields for greater profitability. Corn growers can participate in this market by growing Processor Preferred® HFC hybrids. Ethanol plants and dry mill plants can benefit by participating in the Processor Preferred program.
Processor Preferred High Fermentable Corn (HFC)
Processor Preferred HFC hybrids can deliver higher levels of fermentable starch, which allows dry mill ethanol plants to obtain high ethanol yields for greater profit potential.
Source: Asgrow, DEKALB, Holdens and non-Monsanto samples evaluated for fermentability.
Processor Preferred High Extractable Starch (HES)
Processor Preferred HES hybrids can deliver higher levels of extractable starch, which allows corn wet millers to produce higher starch yields that they can turn into products, including high fructose corn syrup, corn oil, specialty starch products, commodity starches and ethanol.
Always Read and Follow Pesticide Label Directions. Roundup Ready® crops contain genes that confer tolerance to glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup® agricultural herbicides. Roundup® agricultural herbicides will kill crops that are not tolerant to glyphosate.
