Qualifications

Qualifying for the unmatched benefits of Roundup Rewards is easy:

• Use only Roundup^® brand agricultural herbicides*

• Purchases of Roundup brand agricultural herbicides and Monsanto traits must be made from your local Monsanto representative, authorized retailer, or seed dealer.

• Have a valid 2008 Monsanto Technology/Stewardship Agreement

Program Elements

Thanks to two program elements in Roundup Rewards, farmers receive added protection and reduced risk for their farming operation:

The Volunteer Roundup Ready^® Corn 2 Cost-Share Allowance

• The Volunteer Roundup Ready® Corn 2 Cost-Share Allowance allows farmers to receive up to $3.90 per acre toward Select Max® to control Volunteer Roundup Ready Corn 2 in Roundup Ready soybeans and Roundup Ready cotton. Just use the proper Roundup Ready RATE™ of Harness^® or Degree^® brand herbicide followed by Roundup WeatherMAX in your Roundup Ready Corn 2 to qualify for Roundup Rewards and receive up to $3.90/acre toward Select Max herbicide should you have volunteer corn in your Roundup Ready soybeans or Roundup Ready cotton.

The START CLEAN, STAY CLEAN™ Assurance Plan – Now for Roundup Ready^® Corn 2 and Roundup Ready Soybeans

• The START CLEAN, STAY CLEAN™ Assurance Plan allows farmers to receive up to 22 ounces per acre of a Roundup brand agricultural herbicide if they have an unexpected flush of annual weeds that requires a second in-crop treatment of Roundup WeatherMAX^® or Roundup PowerMAX™ herbicide.

In the Roundup Ready Corn 2 System:
Simply follow the recommendation below and if a second in-crop treatment is needed to control a late flush of annual weeds in Roundup Ready Corn 2, apply a minimum of 22 ounces/acre of Roundup WeatherMAX herbicide or Roundup PowerMAX herbicide before weeds exceed 4 inches in height and you will receive:

• 22 ounces/acre of Roundup WeatherMAX at no cost

• Or 11 ounces/acre of Roundup PowerMAX at no cost

Recommendation:

1. Purchase and plant Roundup Ready Corn 2¹ alone or combined with other Monsanto corn traits.

2. Follow the START CLEAN, STAY CLEAN.™ recommendation:

   • Start clean with a burndown herbicide or tilliage.

   • Residuals: Apply a Roundup agricultural herbicide² at the Roundup Ready RATE™.

   • In-crop: Apply a Roundup agricultural corn herbicide at a minimum of 22 ounces/acre before weeds exceed 4 inches in height.

3. Report unsatisfactory weed control to your Monsanto Authorized Representative between 14 and 21 days after treatment.

¹ Corn with Roundup Ready 2 technology also qualifies.
² Monsanto residual corn herbicides include Bullet^®, Degree^®, Degree Xtra^®, Harness^®, Harness Xtra^®, Harness Xtra 5.6L, Lariat^® and Micro-Tech^®.

In the Roundup Ready Soybean System:

Simply follow the recommendation below and if a second in-crop treatment is needed to control a late flush of annual weeds in Roundup Ready soybeans, apply a minimum of 22 ounces/acre of Roundup WeatherMAX herbicide or Roundup PowerMAX herbicide before weeds exceed 4 inches in height and you will receive:

• 22 ounces/acre of Roundup WeatherMAX at no cost

• Or 11 ounces/acre of Roundup PowerMAX at no cost

Recommendation:

1. Purchase and plant Roundup Ready soybeans.

2. Follow the START CLEAN, STAY CLEAN.™ recommendation:

   • Start clean with a burndown herbicide or tilliage.

   • Residuals: Apply a qualifying soybean residual herbicide³ at the Roundup Ready RATE™.

   • In-crop: Apply a Roundup agricultural herbicide at a minimum of 22 ounces/acre before weeds exceed 8 inches in height.

3. Report unsatisfactory weed control to your Monsanto Authorized Representative between 14 and 21 days after treatment.

³ Monsanto recommended residual soybean herbicides include INTRRO^®, Gangster^®, Valor^® and Valor^® XLT. Valor, Valor XLT and Gangster must be applied between 21 days before planting and up to 3 days after planting to qualify for the START CLEAN, STAY CLEAN. Assurance Plan.
