Meet Our People - Oseyi

IT Solution Architect

Why do You work at Monsanto?
I’m fascinated by the quality of the work we do, and the caliber of employees we have. I’m also really proud of the fact that we have taken a stand to be part of the solution as we try to tackle the problems of today’s world. Being originally from Africa, I believe that biotechnology will be the key to eradicating hunger in sub-Saharan Africa in the coming years.

What does your work entail?
If you enjoy leading large technical projects and having the opportunity to directly impact customers thru technical solutions, Monsanto offers a tremendous opportunity.

I am responsible for project management and audits for technical initiatives and large/small software development projects within Monsanto’s Seeds and Traits US Business. I also provide technical leadership for Monsanto’s business to business customer facing portals. I have worked on projects that help our customers order seed, manage their business, and pay their Monsanto invoices, online. Recently, I led the development of applications and tools to help integrate all of the 13+ brands in Monsanto’s American Seeds Inc. subsidiary. On this project I got the opportunity to lead over 35 software developers. These projects and the applications they produce are critical to the success of our commercial operations and help our customers (growers and seed dealers) be more successful. It’s a great feeling to come to work every day, knowing that the work I do directly affects Monsanto’s bottom-line and helps to earn the #1 position with our customers.

What do you like to do outside work?
I really enjoy playing or watching football (soccer). My goal is to play soccer on every continent I visit. So far I have played soccer on four continents and counting. I’m also really privileged to be a member of the United Way GenNext group that volunteers with local organizations at local hospitals and charities.

What other regions have you worked in?
North America and Brazil
